That's right.. On Saturday, Alex has been my boyfriend for five months. I love him too much! :)

My Brother;
He seriously is one of my best friends. We've become closer over the years and I'm thankful for all the hilarious memories we have together. I know he has my back and I will always have his.

My Parents;
I am incredibly blessed to have parents like them who love me and support me no matter what. I know I can come to them about anything without being judged or looked down upon. I don't think many girls my age have that in their lives. It makes me so thankful. It also makes me happy that they allowed Alex to buy me a kitten, they fixed my laptop and got me a hello kitty laptop case.

Probably one of the most intense, dragged out tv shows of my life. Regardless, I'm addicted!

Wild Card by Lora Leigh;
Just finished it the other day! Would recommend it for the fans of Fifty Shades. It's an adult romance book, but something about it reminded me of Nicholas Sparks & Fifty Shades combined. I really liked it!

Thankfully, next week is the end of the semester. I'm just praying I did good enough. I started to slack in the middle of the semester. I can't give a reason why. I think I just got bored really quickly.

I officially have a second job! I'm excited to start training. I'll be a hostess/server, which should be fun. I enjoyed being a server at one of my previous jobs.

The boy passed his basic skill teaching test which is extremely exciting. It's another step in his journey which makes me extremely happy and proud. :) He's been doing a lot for a twenty-one year old.. He's taking five classes, working every day from 3-10pm, a second job every once & awhile on the weekends strictly and he's on an ice hockey team- which plays every Sunday. I'm incredibly thankful that he makes time for me and I have the opportunity to see him every day. Even if it's just a homework date, it still means the world. He's my world now and I couldn't be happier about it.

Papa Bear and I made a deal that if he sells the F150 (my dream truck), he has to buy me a kitten. A man is coming to look at the truck at 3:30pm today.. it's a good thing I filled out an adoption application at Petco yesterday! Just waiting to get approved and to see if the man likes the truck, but who wouldn't?!

I've also found that not everyone in life is going to be your fan. It's impossible to please everyone and I've been working on my life & getting it where I want it, regardless of who gets in my way. Plus- those who talk behind my back, obviously have nothing better to do. Why worry? I'm too busy smiling. :)

I have a lot of concerts to attend within the next few months: Zac Brown Band, Maroon 5, Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney. Clearly, I've been digging country more and more lately.

I should probably do my online exam & start wrapping presents!

Fix a Heart

So, I decided to start over with a new blog. A lot has changed over the past few months and I've finally got a grasp on true, 120% happiness. What I needed to accept was plain and simple: I can't please everyone. Truth is, I'm done trying to make everyone happy. For once in my life, I'm "doing" me. I'm going to college- getting the grades that I deserve, I'm working- attempting to handle two jobs, I've been getting healthier and finding my place in this world. I have stopped caring about those who bring me down because honestly, if you focus on everyone around you- they're going to change you, make your opinions for you and ruin your life. It's completely overrated..

I've been listening to my heart more. I've hurt some people along the way, unintentionally, but that's life. I used to go out of my way for other people and make them happy rather than myself first & I just can't do it anymore. I've got to focus on what's best for me.

One of my best friends has taught me that you can't control your heart, it controls you. I couldn't agree more with that statement. I'm thankful for encouragement- even if he was mad at me at the time. I think that takes a true friend to support you even when they're upset.

Everything that has happened within the past few months- break up, best friend getting married, my mother's surgery, concerts, glee marathons, college starting, prince charming, etc. has made me stronger.

I wouldn't be this strong without Jesus Christ, family & my best friends.

The focus of this "new" blog is to remind myself to be strong in this crazy, beautiful life of mine.
